The team from Paramount+'s Evil

The fourth season of Evil is coming out this May on Paramount+, and I’ve got some good and bad news. The bad news is the season will be the last of the series; the good news, however, is that we will also get four bonus episodes to wrap things up.

“We want to thank Paramount+ for giving us four bonus episodes to end Evil in the world in style,” said the show’s co-creators and showrunners Robert and Michelle King in a statement. “We will miss this show and cast. In many ways it was a dream project, but sadly evil will outlast Evil. See you in May.”

If you haven’t watched Evil before, you’re missing out. The show’s logline describes it as “a psychological mystery that examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion,” which is accurate. The show doesn’t hold back on exploring that dividing line, giving us demons on ellipticals, sexy night terror demons, and other batshit scenarios. Add to that a great cast that includes Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Michael Emerson, Andrea Martin, Kurt Fuller, Christine Lahti, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco and Dalya Knapp, and you’ve got some great television.

While we’re sad the show is ending, I’m glad that it gets to go off in style, as the teaser trailer below suggests:

Evil starts streaming on Paramount+ in May. The first three seasons are currently available on the streaming platform for your horrific viewing pleasure. icon-paragraph-end
